What happens when you combine the mystical wisdom of Hafez (the 14th-century Persian poet) with cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence? 🌙✨
In this video, I translated one of Hafez's most famous Ghazals ("Ghoftam Gham-e To Daram") into English rhyming verse and used AI to compose a cinematic/musical interpretation of the dialogue between the Lover and the Beloved.
This poem is a conversation about patience, love, and the spiritual path.
🎧 Headphones recommended for the full experience.
📜 The Lyrics (English Adaptation):
I said, "I bear the weight of grief," She said, "Your pain will fade and die."
I said, "Be thou my shining moon," She said, "If I ascend the sky."
I said, "From lovers learn the truth, the art of being true," She said, "For beauty’s chosen few, that is a thing we rarely do."
I said, "The scent of your dark hair has led my soul astray," She said, "If you but understood, it guides you on your way."
I said, "How sweet the morning wind that blows so fresh and new,"
She said, "The breeze from where I dwell brings cooling love to you."
I said, "Your ruby lips have slain my heart with wild desire,"
She said, "Serve well..."
"...and you shall find the grace that you require."
