Feb 17, 2026 - Foggy Morning Scout & Bella Check the Egg Cup - No Sign of Egg #1 - NCTC Bald Eagles

Описание: This footage captures Scout and Bella's early morning visit to the nest. Both check the egg cup for the egg and there is no sign of it. We assume the egg was damaged or broke yesterday. We are not sure what happened to the egg but their behavior late yesterday indicated they abandoned the egg. The adults were not incubating and left the nest unprotected several times in the afternoon. At dusk Bella decided to spend the night off the nest. We expect egg #2 tomorrow so stay tuned!

The eagle nest is located approximately 75 miles from Washington, D.C. on the campus of The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services' National Conservation Training Center. The campus is in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, approximately 1/4 mile from the Potomac River.
