Quick review of the LG 55" OLED 1080p 2015 model for those that don't want to spend an arm and a leg and pay $1500 more for the 55" 4K model or $3000 more for the 65" 4k version of this OLED TV.
Don't let the retail store salesmen talk you out of getting this model and going with a 4k LED TV instead. Let's face it most of the content we watch whether it be cable TV or streaming video like most Netflix and Hulu shows broadcast and stream in 1080p. 4k only comes into play if the content is shot in that format, OLED technology affects everything you watch.
Absolutely great contrast. Deep blacks like the Samsung Plasma TV I had. The colors are vivid. Web OS and the added perk of being able to stream my Amazon Prime videos is great.
