The Parable of the Sower is a story Jesus told to explain how people respond to God’s Word. In the parable, a farmer goes out to plant seed. As he scatters it, the seed falls on four different types of ground.
Jesus used this story to show that the condition of our hearts matters when we hear God’s truth. Only those who truly receive it and let it take root will grow and bear fruit.
