This new tune is a bit complex rhythmically, but that's ok, because I can call it progressive rock/jazz fusion. In this I make extensive use of guitar effects pedals ( a Strymon Blue Sky, an MXR Carbon Copy and a Mad Professor phasing unit). The guitar is an old USA Stratocaster, with whammy bar and the amp is a Mesa Boogie. The bass used is a Sterling Series fretless. The drum parts are several different patterns combined in Audacity - purchased as MP3s from Jim Dooley Beats.
In the guitar part you will hear a significant melodic motif emerging, echoing part of the classical "Concerto d'Aranhuez", by Joaquín Rodrigo (1901-1999). There is no obvious reason for this, at least in relation to the theme of an arms dealer's daughter.
