You will need a resistance band.
Begin by standing upright on the middle of your resistance band in your neutral position.
Your legs should be roughly shoulder width apart with your knees slightly bent.
Take hold of your resistance band so the ends are slightly taut with your arms resting by your sides.
Now take a deep breath in and as you breathe out, keeping your arms straight, raise one arm directly up in front of you to around shoulder height or as far as is comfortably possible.
At the top of the movement, breathe in and slowly lower your arm back down and as you breathe out, repeat the exercise with the other arm.
The movement should be smooth and controlled.
Maintain your posture and try not to shrug or roll your shoulders forward during the exercise. Keep them back and relaxed
Also, make sure that your arms move directly forwards and not to the sides.
To finish the exercise, carefully lower your arms to your starting position and breathe normally.
