Everything here belongs to Sega, not me!
Another song I was damned not to find uploaded here on YouTube, so I saw it as my righteous duty to enlighten the masses.
Only to find out seconds after uploading this someone else did it YESTERDAY, along with the rest of the soundtrack. Oh well. Maybe I'll keep this up.
Groovin' Daylight, the beginner day course music from the Sega MODEL3 racer Scud Race, otherwise known as Sega Super GT, composed by Kaoru Ohhori.
Back when this game was released in '96, it was advertised as the first racer to utilize Sega's awesome Model 3 arcade board. Now for the younger generation that probably doesn't mean squat. But back then it was the equivalent of "holy shit".
Dolphin Tunnel, otherwise known as the Beginner Day course, was another great example of Sega's creativity with their racing game courses. So many little details could pull you into that little world. Racing through live aquariums, next to palm trees, boats, and Sonic billboards, with tall buildings and an awesome 3D Sega Saturn logo on one of them. But that wasn't the first thing you noticed when you first started.
It was the music playing in the speakers behind you, playing an upbeat song filled with energy and had you bobbing your head (okay, I'm speaking for myself here, but still). And here it is for the world to listen to.
Too bad I didn't have any video to move everything along (except for OR2 footage), but I did have this cool wallpaper I stumbled onto a while back, and wanted to play with the audio spectrum feature in After Effects. Didn't work as planned but it's something. It wasn't being too cooperative.
And because I'm a Sega nut, time for some trivia. Anyone ever check out the Virtua Fighter anime? (If you're a fan of Shenmue, get it. DO IT. DO IT NAAOOOWWHH!) But it had a pretty gripping and fitting soundtrack if you ask me, especially the more dramatic pieces. What if I told you the person who did the background music for that also did this very song? It's true. But I don't think I've seen this composer's name spelled the same, unfortunately. Koaru, Kaoru, Ohori, Ohhori, Ohhri. ?
And as always on my channel, I'm not here to give away stuff so don't ask me for any music, and keep this page void of stupid comments. Please and thank you.
