Scarborough is home to some of the best Middle Eastern food in Toronto, and along a short stretch of Lawrence Avenue East—between Warden and Victoria Park—sits a cluster of restaurants locals know as Shawarma Row.
In this video, we visit six different shawarma spots along this strip to see how each one approaches the classic Middle Eastern wrap. From long-standing institutions to newer favourites, we’re comparing styles, breads, meats, sauces, and overall execution.
At the end of the video, we each share our personal favourite from the crawl.
