AMC Museum Dover Air Force Base Narrated

Описание: The Air Mobility Command is one of the premier commands in the Air Force. Dover AFB is one of the most beloved homes within the AMC so it makes perfect sense for the AMC Museum to be located at Dover AFB.
The AMC Museum features numerous aircraft which will be listed below for reference. You can go into many of these aircraft. At the museum you can go back into time from World War 2 to present day. You can get an up close look at how the AMC developed and turned into what it is today while also seeing the technological advancements in the aerospace industry.
The admission to the museum is free, they do ask for donations and have a donation box located by the front door to the left. When you enter the museum you can go to the right and visit the control tower or go straight ahead and enter the hangar where a large collection of memorabilia awaits your viewing. As you walk down the hallway to the hangar you will go down the hall of heroes and walk among Medal of Honor Recipients. While in the hangar you will see the infamous B17 Flying Fortress. Poke your head up the bomb bay doors and see just how tight the quarters on the plane really were, also you can see a replica of a ball turret gunner to further appreciate what these men in the ball turrets had to endure for our freedom.
As you make your way outside you will be met with dozens of planes, rockets, and even get to see an Air Force 2. It will be windy outside which you will be able to tell in the audio of some of the clips so make sure you do not have anything that could blow away.
If you can set up a group tour you will be able to have more access to the aircraft than a private party. You will be able to get into a C141 and a C130, but with a guided tour you will be able to do more.
The last tour of the control tower happens at 3:15 so make sure you arrive early enough to plan a stop at the tower, I did not know that and arrived after the last tour of the day.
