But I wasn’t one to give up. I got my chance 30 years later when a collector friend of mine persuaded him to sell it. The same day, this other friend sold it back to me. Sweet revenge.

I replaced the engine, repainted the body and gave her expensive new chrome parts. After restoring the upholsteries and the roof, she was ready to roll again in the spring of 2014.
