Prince William graduated as an officer in the British Army Friday. Queen Elizabeth the second joined her grandson at Sandhurst, the Royal Military Academy, and says it is a special day.

His girlfriend Kate Middleton cheered on the 24-year-old prince, who is second in line to the throne. The couple has been dating since 2004.
Prince Harry, William's younger brother, graduated from Sandhurst earlier this year.
Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Camilla also attended the ceremony .
