The 5th and 6th volumes of Bartok's Mikrokosmos Sz.107 are vastly different from the previous 4 volumes. Not only are the pieces in the 5th and 6th volumes much more complex and #challenging, they are also considered non-pedagogical, as these pieces are intended to be performed on a stage rather than practicing certain techniques. Bartok's #musical talents are on full display here, showing his ability to pour his #imagination into his music through dissonances, syncopations, #unconventional rhythmic patterns, and overall #boldness.
