Today’s ride was about good company, fresh air, and finishing well. In this video, myself and two friends cycle the stunning coastal route from Magheraroarty to Gweedore and back, following the exact route used on my Off the Beaten Path Coastal Tour – a relaxed, scenic loop along Donegal’s Atlantic edge.
Starting in Magheraroarty, the route winds towards Gweedore, with quiet roads, open sea views, and that sense of space the Donegal coast does so well. It’s a social ride, designed to be inclusive and unhurried, with plenty of moments to stop and take it all in.
After finishing the loop, we headed to Cocoon Sauna at Portnablagh – the perfect way to recover after a coastal cycle. Warming up by the sea, listening to the waves, and letting tired legs relax felt like a natural extension of the ride.
