Sunday lazy riding with my dad on some local mountain roads...
starting of on the HM, swapping for the VOR on the last part of the ride...
Two very different bikes and set-ups...
the CRF450 is a very aggressive bike: short gear ratios, high revving engine, very light...
the VOR instead is more balanced: a low center of gravity paired to a super fine working Ohlins suspension package. For sure that is the main advantage point on this bike. The engine is quite powerful (a lot of torque) but does not impress like the MX beast on the CRF450...
to mention: the VOR 503 (MY2001) is a very rare and special bike, was hand built in Italy (actually the VOR brand does not exist anymore), the engine was not issued with an oil.pump but the lubrication of the system was provided by the vibrations and movements of the bike itself. not so pratical when riding city or steady pace... but that was not what the motorcycle was meant to do...
I sold both bikes a year ago and some time I'll miss them...
