A familiar voice can make an unexpected call feel convincing. How do you check the request before you act?
Follow Ada and Eli, a fictional family, through a worrying call and a practical verification plan. We test what happens when someone forgets the family phrase, a callback goes unanswered, or a real relative borrows a phone. There is no universal seconds rule and no promise that a code word solves every situation.
Which step would be harder for your family: remembering the phrase or reaching a second person? Keep names, numbers and your private phrase out of the comments.
