বাংলাদেশের গণজাগরণ দেখে অনেকের গাত্র দাহ হচ্ছে বলে মন্তব্য করেছেন জামায়াতের আমীর ডা. শফিকুর রহমান। তিনি বলেন, জামায়াতের নেতাকর্মীরা কোনো অপকর্মে লিপ্ত হয়নি। পাবনা রংপুর, বগুড়াসহ উত্তরবঙ্গের বিভিন্ন জেলায় নির্বাচনি সমাবেশে তিনি আরো বলেন, বিএনপির নেতাকর্মীরা টেম্পুস্ট্যান্ড দখল ও মামলা বাণিজ্য করেছে। এসময়, জুলাই শহীদদের সম্মানে হ্যাঁ ভোট দেয়ার আহ্বান জানান তিনি।


Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said that many people are burning after seeing the mass uprising in Bangladesh. He said that Jamaat leaders and activists have not indulged in any wrongdoing. At election rallies in various districts of North Bengal including Pabna, Rangpur, Bogra, he also said that BNP leaders and activists have occupied the temple stand and traded cases. At the time, he urged people to vote yes in honor of the July martyrs.
