The project transforms existing elements on the site: a house with a sloping roof, materials and the scale of the vegetation.
As a new work, the project configures the garden with formal synthesis and pure intellectual abstraction. In parts, the space expands in dimensions. With tension, it brings natural light into interior work spaces. In plan, the services are separated allowing free space that supports the connection with the immediate exterior space.
Heavy to the outside, this is expressed as an artificial stone of concrete struck on all surfaces. Wood inside, the interior atmosphere is built through complementary opposites.
Using basic technology, this proposal is reduced to a few operations. It interprets trees and manipulates light, air, and materials to build places to think, paint, and work.
