madVR Dynamic HDR (v187) vs Dolby Vision (L1+L2) vs Static HDR10 10 000nits

Описание: This video presents a comparison of madVR's dynamic HDR tone mapping. On LG TVs, and possibly others, it's not possible to completely disable tone mapping. However, a workaround involves configuring madVR to make the TV believe that the content always falls within its capabilities by setting a target peak nits. Essentially, this allows madVR to handle the tone mapping for pixels exceeding your TV's peak brightness, mirroring a concept similar to Dolby Vision. However, Dolby Vision relies on pre-measured values, while madVR calculates them on the fly. Additionally, Dolby Vision includes the valuable 100-600-1000 nits trim pass, enhancing the accuracy of the tone mapping process.
