TRIP REPORT | SAS ATR 72 INAUGURAL FROM SANDEFJORD TORP. SK1397 TRF-CPH

Описание: Hello and welcome back for yet another Trip Report! Today I was also joined by ‪@TheNorwegianTravelers‬ so make sure to check out their report as well on this flight ⬇️

Today’s journey is onboard with SAS - Scandinavian Airlines and on their first flight from Sandefjord Torp Airport in over 20 years.

Torp Airport is located near the city of Sandefjord and approximately 2 hours south for the capital of Oslo. From this airport there are mostly low cost airlines operating. Like Ryanair or Wizz air or Norwegian or AIrBaltic. But Widerøe also operates a few domestic routes out of here.

So be aware next time you’re booking a flight with those airlines cause you mind end up at Torp and not Gardermoen, Oslo’s main airport.

The aircraft SAS will be using on this hour long flight between Torp and Copenhagen is their ATR 72-600 operated by XFly. Like the one I flew on this inauguration.

When the aircraft arrived they had a water salute and a celebration at the gate. With lots of food & pastries set out, you might think it was champagne you saw but it is Mozelle, a soda that may look like champagne to the naked eye.

There was a ribbon cutting before leaving right on time for Copenhagen, I must say the ATR was a nice aircraft to fly, at least for an hour flight. My seat was 2F where I had a great view over the propeller.

We arrived just in time in Copenhagen and parked at a remote stand.
