For the tenth birthday of a webcomic whose music inspired me endlessly, I thought I'd rearrange the first piece I ever played on this channel: Savior of the Waking World. I was never really satisfied with the first version I played nearly 3 years ago. I rushed the speed of the piece a bit. I flubbed notes and played sloppily. I didn't even keep a steady tempo. Hopefully, all of that will be fixed in this cover.

I'd also like to pay tribute to Homestuck Music Team member George Buzinkai, who passed away in late 2018. Tons of Homestuck music builds off of the motifs they established in their early compositions "Doctor" and "Explore." In fact, Savior of the Waking World samples the tune of Doctor. It's safe to say that Buzinkai helped lay the groundwork for the growth of the unique, experimental, and beautiful musical atmosphere we associate with Homestuck. Thank you for everything, George. Your incredible music impacted me and thousands, if not millions, of other Homestuck listeners. We will miss you.
