This video is the second of two that show how we fit soft tops to our Series V Sunbeam Alpines. We are not professional mechanics but have owned numerous Alpines since 1983 and have carried out most tasks on them. We use basic DIY tools and claim no expertise. There may be better ways to do this job, this video just shows how we do it.
With care and thorough preparation a very high quality result can be achieved. This is most definitely a job that a 'home mechanic' can do. You need to watch both videos all the way through to fully understand how we are doing this job. If you need to read the instructions pause the video. The end result that we achieve is comparable with what many professional trimmers are supplying.
