An orchestral arrangement I made for this determined theme that appears towards the end of "Golden Sun: The Lost Age" as you near the end of your journey.

➤ Analysis:

The track opens with a common descending progression; C minor – Bb major / G minor – Ab major – G major. Above this, the violin melody decorates a major 7th chord on Ab major (0:08).

Following these opening 8 bars, we are treated to a pulsing of Ab major and G minor (0:20), similarly as appears in “Garoh”, before moving back to the tonic of C minor (0:28). While this occurs, the violins move to a semiquaver decoration while the woodwinds take over the melody with more major 7th dissonances.

After this excursion, we return to the opening descending passage (0:36), which I have now expanded to include additional accompanying material in the clarinets, harp and piano. Then we get one more passage at 0:52, again decorated with major 7th chords (Ab-C-Eb-G) and 6-5 suspensions in the violins (0:58; G-F in a Bb major chord). When this final section repeats with a new oboe melody, I added an echoing piccolo for additional interest (1:01).

I didn't orchestrate it as wildly as "Sea of Karagol" as the original is calmer in comparison. Nevertheless, hopefully you'll enjoy it!
