Hello! Are you actually reading this? Sadly, although we spend hours creating this blurb (not!) we also know that few folk look at what is offered below: the "movie." So, if you are doin' it, welcome matey! Grab a brew and listen to our tale. But first, sail over to DUMP TRUMP, a song we wrote last year. The link is • Dump Trump - Still A Song For Now by Mallo...
The old Irish tune Rosin the Beau (or Bow if you prefer) has long been a favorite of ours but the lyrics didn't quite go with our Skeleton Crew Pirate Band. So, as we tend to do, we reimagined it as Blunderbuss Beau, the tale of a reckless, if hopefully rather lovable ol' rover, who faces his end with a bit of a twinkle in his aging eyes. Caring mainly for his rum, his women (or the memory of them) and most of all his big blunderbuss pistol, he rather looks forward to his upcoming encounter with Davy Jones and the treasure he might find.
This version was sung by Mallory and recorded by Dennis Gilmore around 2007. Jan is once again pumping her portable suitcase reed organ. You can make out some of the creaks as she pumps away. That drove Dennis as he engineered the music quite crazy. Jan plays on a synth in some of the cuts, but the organ survived here.
The in and out bits of music were currently made by Jan on Finale as credits abhor a musical vacuum.
Please encourage us to put up more from the Mallory & McCall Vintage Collection by LIKE-ing us and even SUBSCRIBE-ing to our efforts. We ping-pong between having fun collecting the pictures and cursing Windows Movie Maker, an impossible program, especially for beginners. Any suggestions for an inexpensive (for that read free) substitute would be most welcome!
Coming soon, more from the Janus Company Radio Theatre's musicals.
