The attempt to move access to the path to Stanton by Bridge from the old Causeway has been going on for eight years and little progress has been made. First (and still) championed by Melbourne Civic Society, the cudgels have been taken up by Melbourne Footpaths Group and the County Councillor, Linda Chilton.
The main problem being faced at that moment is the delaying tactic being employed by the Church Commissioners (the landowners) and their agents.
