14,000 people die every day worldwide from trauma, many from traumatic brain injuries. In this short expert lecture, neurosurgeon and Formula 1 British Grand Prix Chief Medical Officer Professor Hutchinson shares ways to improve the investigation, management and outcome of these injuries for patients.
Professor Peter Hutchinson FMedSci is Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Cambridge and Chief Medical Officer for the Formula 1 British Grand Prix.
Professor Hutchinson gave this presentation ‘Rescuing the injured brain’ as part of the Academy of Medical Sciences New Fellow's Admissions Day 2018, held on 27 June. On this day, the Academy welcomed newly elected Fellows for their formal admission.
