Measured by flight movements, Grenchen is the 4th largest airport in Switzerland. The main runway 06/24 is 1000 m long and therefore long enough for smaller business jets such as the Cessna Citation, Embraer Phenom and Pilatus PC-24. Recently there was even a Falcon 2000!
The rest are grass runways 06R/24L and 06/24 GLID 700 m and 06L/24R 390 m. Due to the Freejump Festival taking place, many flights of the PAC 750 and Short Skyvan could be observed. Of course, the Douglas DC-3 was a special treat, mine favorite plane!
