Is WordPress Market Share Shrinking? Are people choosing other options for their websites? Is WordPress in Trouble?
WordPress is a Content Management System used by 43% of modern websites. Recently, a few articles came out stating that WordPress Market Share is Shrinking and the reason that was mentioned was because of performance issues, SEO issues, Full site editing and Gutenberg not being finished and or WordPress becoming more complex than other options.
It was noted that both Wix and Squarespace have seen increase market share, and that the number 2 CMS on the market, Shopify, also had a decline in usage.
In this video, I go over all the data on market usage of various platforms and share with you my findings on whether or not WordPress is losing market share and if so, then to who.
