 A war widow was given a loan of NRP 30,000 and a 18 month repayment period.
 She has used the loan meaningfully. She runs a small self contained grocery shop selling snacks, a variety of daily necessities and has a good business going.
 Her shop is well stocked and according to TECH Outreach Malaysia members who had interviewed her in July, she is looking much better physically. She said she is very happy and grateful for the loan.
 She said she makes a profit of NPR 4,000-5,000 after paying the rental of NPR 3,000.
 She said she manages to pay for her daughter's education and even buy new clothes for her daughter during the festivals.
 Moreover, she is on track /schedule for her loan repayment.
 It was very heartening to hear from her that she also manages to save. Whilst the team was there, we saw the official from the saving and credit company collect her contribution for saving. She also showed us her "savings book" with the entries for the savings.
 She is still staying in the shop [she showed us her very small living space in which she sleeps]. She justified it by saying that this helped to save on rental costs [NRP5000 -- 6000]. Her daughter stays in the hostel. Moreover, staying on site enables her to open her shop for long hours. Even at night, when the shop is closed, she has devised a novel way of selling products to customers, if required [a hole in the wall through which she gives customers their products].
 When asked if it is safe to stay on site, she did recount an incident when she was hassled. She called the police and has not been hassled since.
 When asked about plans for expansion of her business, she said that she would like to sell liquor as it has high profit margins.
 Overall, Rupa has become a confident young women who has found her feet!
