Bengaluru: Area Dominance Led to Murder: Rowdy Sheeter Shabbir Case Explained

Описание: The murder case of rowdy sheeter Shabbir has been solved with the arrest of eight accused by Bande Palya police. Shabbir, the son of a retired KSRP Assistant Sub-Inspector, had more than 15 criminal cases registered and a rowdy sheet opened at Koramangala Police Station.

The incident occurred on the 12th near a petrol bunk on Mangammanapalya Main Road. Shabbir had traveled in an auto-rickshaw with friends to Victoria Hospital to visit a friend’s father who was admitted. While returning, a group of attackers standing near the petrol bunk was questioned from inside the auto. Immediately after, pepper powder was thrown, and Shabbir was brutally attacked with long machetes and killed. The attackers fled the scene.

During police interrogation, the motive behind the murder was revealed. Shabbir was known for maintaining dominance in areas including Koramangala, Bandepalya, and Mangammanapalya. According to investigators, Shabbir insisted on controlling extortion collections and settlements in these localities. When local petty criminals were found collecting money without permission, Shabbir assaulted several individuals, which triggered retaliation.

The accused allegedly decided to eliminate Shabbir to establish dominance in the area. Two earlier attempts to attack failed due to Shabbir’s cautious movement and limited public presence. On the day of the incident, information about the hospital visit reached the attackers, leading to the final execution of the plan.

After the murder, the accused moved between Mumbai and Hyderabad to evade arrest. Police tracked intelligence inputs indicating a visit to meet family members and arrested all eight accused at Majestic Railway Station. Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
