Fiat Lux - House of Thorns - 1984

Описание: This is my favourite track from Fiat Lux, an 80s synth pop group. Debateable whether they were part of the 80s new wave movement or if they just jumped on the bandwagon as it was somewhat by 83. I think the latter personally, as they don't seem to have the integrity of their contemporaries like Depeche Mode, OMD, Human League etc.

They have a few tracks that are more widely known (Feels Like Winter Again, Secrets, Blue Emotion), but this song House of Thorns is my preference as their best track.

It was released in September 1984, almost exactly 25 years ago. I heard it then about 3 times on the radio, and tried to buy the single but it was never available. Since then I've remembered the catchy chorus and vocal harmonies, the track name and the band name, and it wasn't until last week that I finally tracked it down. It's been a 25 year wait for me - it's a relief to know I wasn't imagining it.
