Parents of grade 10 learners want more time to prepare for school

A section of grade 10 parents in Bungoma County is seeking an extension of the reporting period to enable them to prepare adequately. Speaking during the school opening at Moi DEB Primary School, some of the parents lamented that their children have been posted in day schools which are far from their homes, pleading for more time to change the schools. The Ministry of Education has rejected over 60,000 Grade 10 transfer appeals, urging parents to make fresh appeals between January 6th and 9th, when the Ministry will open the second revision phase for senior school placements.
