Filmed in "KO Vision", which is my dumb-as-bricks term for an optical capture of the closed-circuit video system shown to patrons not able to directly view the stage. And yes, no tripod, no stabilization beyond what shoe phones offer, as bringing in pro gear to a dive bar should give you some quite pointed looks, as it SHOULD...pointing it at the damn monitor for nearly 40 minutes to bring this to y'all. So this is why it has that washed-out look...if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, quack quack quack.

I haven't yet standardized on "KO Vision", "KOVision", or "KO-Vision", but maybe the venue should have a say on that? Should ask them. In the meantime, I've settled on the first of these. There's some editing tricks to account for drift, I haven't used them here...but generally I did a decent job at it, only near the end does someone get in the way.

Audio is from Schoeps MK4 into a BabyNbox, plugged into a Roland R-07. For those not paying attention, I took a bit of a break in June to upgrade my rig, not just to please folks like Teddy Ballgame and the other grand poobahs of our live recording scene, but because it's the very least I can do for our groups here and those stopping by to make sure I have the capability of capturing in decent SQ. With that said, this isn't a native capture, I've blended (at -10dB) with my audio capture and done some re-EQ'ing / phase cancellation / leveling / clap attenuation...it's a bit counterintuitive but the better your source is, the MORE helpful these tricks are actually ARE in terms of improving the perceived quality.

I wasn't born knowing these tracks so these were very helpful to ID their set. And I also bought them. You should too, or if your shelves and significants (if applicable) can tolerate that, go physical!
