In this video we learn how to calculate area between two polar curves. This includes basic regions of area that lie between two polar curves as well as more complex regions of area that are the common interior of two polar curves. We look at the general form of a definite integral to calculate the area between two curves, and then look at some examples. Additionally, we briefly discuss how points of intersection for polar curves may occur at different angles, making it difficult to locate all points of intersection for two curves without the help of a graph.
