Описание: Prof. Dr. Zia-ul-Hassan is a poet and a renowned critic of Urdu Literature. He is the Head of Urdu Department at the Oriental College, Punjab University. Dr. Zia has an exceptional collection of fictional and non-fictional books at his home which shows is eagerness towards not just Urdu Literature but also towards the world literature.
Apart from this, Dr. Zia had been with Kuch Jaan Lo as an advisor from the day of its inception.

Kuch Jaan Lo! is an organization concerned with the arts and culture of Pakistan. The basic motive of KJL! is to reintroduce our vibrant youth with their own art and culture. Till now we have organized events on different literary personalities like Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Saadat Hassan Manto, Mirza Ghalib, Noon Meem Rashid, Parveen Shakir, Ahmed Faraz and Ismat Chughtai. Apart from these events, we have initiated a series of events called Silsala-e-Parhant (Series of readings), and a reading club called Parhant Kada (Reading Club) in which we invite students and people from various professions to come and read literary pieces of any literary personality of the Indian Sub-continent. In the near future, we aim to bring our regional literature, i.e. Pashto Literature, Baloch Literature and Sindhi Literature, to our followers.
