📺 Ep. 4 – Brewing 2004 Menghai 7542, Bulang Mountain Edition Raw Puerh | Chinatown Soup Tea Club

Описание: Welcome to the fourth installment of the Chinatown Soup Tea Club. In our last episode, we featured our first raw puerh vintage from 2006 and explored its natural storage aging process. This time, we’re venturing into a 2004 special edition of the classic 7542 recipe produced by Menghai Factory, made with Bulang Mountain material and aged in dry storage at the factory.

In this video, we brew the tea using two different amounts: first, three grams in 120 ml of water, and second, seven grams in the same amount of water. Using Kung Fu-style brewing, we observe how variations in leaf weight and steeping time affect the tea’s character.

Experimenting with different amounts of tea and adjusting steeping time is a great way to avoid limiting yourself to a single standard. The goal is to discover your own preferences and understand why, in each moment, you might seek a particular flavor or unexpected result.

☯️ When brewed well: The hibernated leaf awakens in hot water, releasing the sensation of the first spring rainfall. Fresh forest leaves bloom, dry earth moistens, and notes of bamboo shoots, camphor bark, and mushroom emerge.
