The Wyoming Senate voted 16-15 Thursday for a resolution demanding that Congress turn over some 30 million federal acres to the state. The "equal footing" resolution insisted that land owned by all Americans, including Grand Teton National Park, be surrendered.
A federal judge on Thursday blocked enforcement of the "deferred resignation" deadline, according to numerous news reports. U.S. District Judge George O’Toole in Massachusetts issued the order in response to a suit brought by a federal employees' advocacy group. He will hold a hearing Monday.
