COMING HOME SESSION #2 | 20240326

This is the second "Coming Home" session I recorded. Last time I added a piano track after the session. I thought it would be nice to find a setup where I can play the piano live.
After going through different options I had at hand I ended up adding the OP1 with a piano sample to the setup. This way I can stay DAWless with these sessions. I have not used the OP1 in some time and am happy to have found a new use for it.
I added the OT as the center where everything comes together. Currently I am building a template project for this setup that gives me as much flexibility having free tracks to live record Lyra and OP1 samples, playing prerecorded loops, drums etc. and use scenes for effects.
In the beginning I use the "tombola" sequencer of the OP1 to create a random piano sequence that tinkers over the Lyra. I have a sample of my Osmose on T7 which comes in later and on T6 I recorded a piano loop while jamming before I started the recording. I cannot wait to experiment further with this setup.
This time I kept it very simple mainly because I was also focusing on testing the 2 cameras and just check if everything is set up correctly. I feel like this is a very interesting and divers setup and good for improvisation. I plan to have my first (experimental) performance in front of people later this year and feel like this is the perfect setup. I plan to put as much time as possible into practicing and building some muscle memory.
