Prodtex demonstrate how it is possible to design a production fixture for the assembly of an aerospace wing in just 20 minutes. The fixture was designed using the CATIA V5 Cad Package and utilizes some plug in tools developed by Prodtex to reduce the non value added clicks.
The fixture was designed for the Locomachs european research project and the final assembled fixture was presented at the MTC (Manufacturing Technology Centre) in Coventry in June 2016.
This fixture is built using the BoxJoint, Shimbox & TFS Systems developed and sold by Prodtex. The fixture itself is completely reconfigurable and consists entirely of re-usable standard off the shelf components. More info. please visit www.prodtex.com
