FYI: George T. Sampson was born on July 24, 1861 in Palmyra, New York, but then sadly passed away in 1902 from Alzheimer's disease. George T. Sampson is famous for building the clothes dryer. George T. Sampson was in the military and was a slave. George T. Sampson is credited for paving the way to more modern clothes dryer.

On June 7, 1892, George T. Sampson came up with a better ventilator-type dryer. He came up with this because back when he was a slave he had to hang up the clothes and it was hard so he came up with building a clothes dryer.
In 1892, George T. Sampson received the first U.S. patent for clothes dryer.
