Sound reactive LED chaser using 4017 IC

Описание: This video presents sound activated LED chaser circuit using 4017 and 555 timer. Transistor (2n3906) acts as an audio amplifier which provides input to 555 timer which is used in monostable mode. Output (pin3) of 555 timer can only be HIGH for specific period of time depending upon capacitor and resistor used. These output pulses are fed to the clock of CD4017 IC(Decade counter IC with decoded outputs).
Now it counts the pulses and presents it as output which are connected to LEDs.

Condenser mic
LED (*10)
220 ohm resistor (*10)
10k ohm resistor
100k ohm resistor (*2)
1M resistor
0.22uF capacitor
1uF capacitor or 2.2nF capacitor

Breadboard
Connecting wires

5v or 9v supply
