Описание: The Defense Department of the US has confirmed that leaked photos and video of "unidentified aerial phenomena" (UAP) taken in 2019 were legitimate and taken by navy personnel.

Photos and video of triangle-shaped objects blinking and moving through the clouds were taken by US Navy personnel, Pentagon spokeswoman Sue Gough confirmed to CNN. Gough also confirmed that pictures of three unidentified objects, categorised as a "sphere", "acorn" and "metallic blimp" were also taken by Navy personnel.

She added that the defense department would not comment further on the observations or examination.

"To maintain operations security and to avoid disclosing information that may be useful to potential adversaries, DoD does not discuss publicly the details of either the observations or the examinations of reported incursions into our training ranges or designated airspace, including those incursions initially designated as UAP," Gough said in the statement.

The spokeswoman added that the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force has "included these incidents in their ongoing examinations." The UAP task force was created in August last year to investigate UFO sightings observed by the US military.

There have been "a number of reports of unauthorized and/or unidentified aircraft entering various military-controlled ranges and designated air space in recent years," the US Navy said in 2019.

In April last year, the Pentagon released three videos of UAPs which were captured in 2004 and 2015. The pilots were amazed at seeing the objects. "Look at that thing, dude!" one pilot said. "It’s rotating!"
