The ascent is an exciting challenge for drivers, with narrow roads flanked by dense forests of pine and chestnut trees. As you gain altitude, the views open up to reveal stunning panoramas of the surrounding valleys and distant peaks, with occasional glimpses of the Mediterranean on clear days. The air grows cooler and crisper as you approach the higher altitudes, adding to the sense of adventure.
The road is steeped in history and automotive legend, frequently used as a stage in the Monte Carlo Rally. Its technical bends and steep drops demand focus, but the rewards are immense—every turn brings a new perspective of the rugged, unspoiled terrain.
