I was luky enough to pop by the shipyard on the day they were starting a new wooden rudder for a traditional sailing boat. This is a very old boat which was rebuilt almost completely by this shipyard.
Jaime Costa, the shipyard owner, has not only built quite a few traditional sailing boats but also brought back to life most of the traditional boats still sailing the Tagus river and estuary, from 15ft to over 100ft long sailing boats.
It's a privilege to see this master at the age of 70 years young still working and with a smile on his face most of the times!
