Canadian Club is lighter than scotch and much smoother than bourbon. Uniquely, it is pre-barrel blended and uses the same yeast strand Hiram Walker did back in 1858.
After the unique Canadian Club pre-barrel blending, the barrels sit at Pike Creek and age the spirit for a minimum of six years. Despite the pre-barrel blending, Canadian Club follows a similar pattern to making any spirituous alcoholic beverage.
The grains used in Canadian Club are; corn, barley, rye and rye malt. Over 80% of these grains come from the premium growth area of Essex County, famous for their flavour-some integrity.
It is thought (as the Canadians keep their recipes a secret) that over 60% of the mash bill of Canadian Club is corn. =================
