The day was perfect, a day with clear blue skies and temps that rose to the upper 70s, and at the beach it was just that— perfect.
Arriving at about 10, it was a great time for coffee and chocolate croissants across from the beach. The countertop was an upside-down surfboard, adding to the beach vibe.
On arrival, it was well into high tide, and I remained until the end of low tide.
Sidmouth is a charming town, about 14 miles from Exeter. Known for the red cliffs and pebble beaches. At the mouth of the Sid river, between Peak Hill and Salcombe Hill.
There are two beaches separated by a large hill on which the Connaught gardens are located.
Very popular tourist site with buses arriving at 10-15-minute intervals.
