Finally! Dometic Fridge Install and Bonus Exterior Access Panel Fix. RV repair.

Описание: I finally got the Dometic MR 2800 into the newly-reconstructed enclosure with new panels, insulation, wiring secured and new insulation baffles. While this was a welcome accomplishment, I did find that the 110v power wasn't working... that's a video for next time. It always seems that with one fix, another project pops up. Stay tuned while I figure out if it's the generator not working, the main GFI plug gone bad, main breaker is shot or who knows what else??? We'll sort that one out later.


In the mean time, why not fix that flimsy exterior access panel? Just a thin aluminium vented piece of sheet stock without much to keep it steady. I don't see why Dometic didn't add those reinforcing ribs that I did to the panel. They make such a difference!



With the new igniter unit and a good cleaning of the entire fridge, it was good to see once all the power and gas lines were hooked up that the fridge immediately jumped back to life! Now with the new door gaskets, reconditioned systems, cleared out flue, and updated enclosure the Dometic should be ready to provide many more years of serviceable life to the Long Hauler 2! Can't wait to get out on the road for the next camping trip!!
