A prominent Malaysian actor, comedian, television presenter, and emcee. His wit and comedic observations have made him a household name in Malaysia, with a career spanning local television, theatre, film, and comedy shows over the last two decades.
His journey into entertainment began during his matricula- tion studies when he appeared in the popular sitcom Kopitiam. His performance in this series earned him a nomination for Best Actor (Comedy) at the Asian Television Awards.
In addition to his acting career, Douglas Lim is a seasoned stand-up comedian. He founded the Malaysian Association of Chinese Comedians (MACC) in 2009, which has become one of Malaysia’s most successful stand-up comedy tour groups. Douglas Lim made his international debut at the prestigious Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF) in 2017 under Comedy Zone Asia. His impressive performances earned him a spot on the esteemed MICF Gala, which aired on ABC.
He continues to pivot creatively during challenging times, demonstrating resilience and adaptability throughout his career.
