Del Carmen Mangrove Eco-Park in Siargao is a 4871-hectare natural area offering a variety of activities and a chance to experience the beauty of the mangroves, including bird watching, kayaking, and biking.


Location: Siargao, Philippines
Size: 4871 hectares
Features:
Mangrove Ecosystem: The park is a haven for various wildlife and a great place to experience the natural beauty of mangroves.
Bird Watching: A tower for bird watching will be constructed, allowing tourists to observe birds flying and foraging in the mangroves.
Kayaking and Pedal Boats: Kayaking and pedal boats will be available for exploring the water bodies within the mangrove area.
Biking: Bike lanes will be provided for tourists who want to explore the park on two wheels.
Crab Hatchery and Nursery: A crab hatchery and nursery will be featured in the ecopark.
Purpose: The park is designed for entertainment, education, and livelihood provision, with existing projects from DA, DOST, and BFAR being reconstructed to fit the ecopark concept.
Ecotourism Management Plan: There's an updated Del Carmen Mangrove Eco-Park Ecotourism Management Plan for the period 2024-2028.
Other Activities: The park also offers opportunities for learning about the local ecosystem and the importance of wetland conservation
