Описание: JAFFNA, SRI LANKA: This part of Sri Lanka has been high on my bucketlist for so many years! I almost came during my last trip in 2017 but things didn't work out however, fear not, because I've finally made it on our Sri Lanka Road Trip of 2023 and all the better, I found the perfect pool to cool down! Exploring This is Jaffna: The Magical Keerimalai Hot Springs 🇱🇰

I came to Jaffna via Mannar - a journey which was quite straightforward however, it was made somewhat more challenging by the theft of the phone holder from my bike in Talaimannar and so I wasn't able to use the GPS (first world problems I know). I started out be heading into the city to explore the markets and try to find a replacement. Whilst there, I was introduced to Jaffna hospitality by a local who gifted me with some free, fresh watermelon.

Afterwards, I was desperate to cool down so headed for the famous Rio Ice Cream shop in Jaffna. On this front, it served it's purpose but I've had better - including actually from other places in Jaffna itself so it's upto you if you make a visit there.

The temperatures were sky high at this time of the year in Sri Lanka and so, desperate to cool down and of course explore, I headed to the north coast and found the Keerimalai Spring - a swimming pool right on the coast reputed for its curative properties. It was absolutely one of the very best places I visited in all of Jaffna and well worth the effort to make it there!
