However, it is difficult to say what it is about perch. Perhaps it is not limited to a simultaneous attack on a herd of general cargo, which makes it easier to break them up. I have noticed that perches often attack in sequence. If the first one fails, the second, third, fourth, etc. tries to catch the same victim. This number reaches a dozen or so. Also, those that missed try to attack several times.
The joint action of perches stimulates them to attack, but sometimes the effect is opposite. They can interfere with each other. When they swim after their prey, they gather near it, squeeze it and even tear it away.
An interesting fact that I will add from myself is that once, during the hauling, a perch followed it by two more, one of them will additionally flow to the landing net when I picked up the one hooked on the cicada that took the spinning rod. I've heard of such cases, but it's fun to experience it in person.
